Jason Smith started his personal training career in Galveston, TX in 1990. He received his personal fitness training certification through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) while serving in the United States Air Force. Jason spent over ten years in the military and during his military service he trained part-time for several major fitness clubs throughout the Phoenix area such as LA Fitness, Pure Fitness and Bally’s Total Fitness. Training for these health clubs was an eye-opening experience for Jason. It was these experiences that led him to purchase and operate his own personal training studio, which is located in central Phoenix.
Jason’s passion and expertise is in weight loss/fat reduction. He created a 12-week body transformation program in 1999 that significantly changed body composition by decreasing body fat and increasing lean muscle through proper nutrition and exercise. His transformation program produced amazing results with average weight loss in the area of thirty to forty-five pounds per client in just twelve weeks.
In January of 2014, nearly 15 years after creating his 12-week program, Jason introduced his new 6-week program. The original 12-Week Body Transformation program had undergone a transformation of its own. With new diet strategies and training protocols, his new 6-week transformation program is achieving results that his 12-week clients experienced.

Upon entering Jason Smith Fitness you will be given a one on one consultation and then assisgned a personal fitness coach that will work with you during every session. Your first two to three workouts will be assessment workouts where we test five components of fitness, which are:
- Muscular strength
- Muscular endurance
- Cardiovascular endurance
- Body composition
Your physical limitations, physical abilities, history of physical fitness, and desired results from your personal training experience all play an important role in the design of your workouts. Once your results are obtained, a personalized exercise program is designed for you, based on you.
All of our personal training packages include ongoing fitness assessments so you can see the actual changes you have made to your body. There is nothing more exciting than reaching a goal! Let us measure your path to success!
Wendy Graack is NASM Certified and also holds professional dance instructor certifications DEA & DMA.
She spent most of her life as a professional ballerina and gymnast, working with the NYC Ballet, Moscow Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and others. Having the honor of working with people such as Baryshnikov, Kirkland, Brown and many more, taught her to become extremely observant and detail oriented.
At just 19 years old, Wendy opened her first ballet company, which offered a triple threat theater program – Dance, Theater, Vocals. It was during this time that she decided to pursue personal training and nutrition so she could prevent injury and further assist her clients. There are currently 5 major ballet companies worldwide where she is a business consultant and the main choreographer.
Wendy has also worked with Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Broadway, Olympic and World Figure Skating Champions, the United Dance and Cheer Associations, as well as NBA, NFL and NHL Dance/Cheer Teams and many others.
Her most current adventure in the fitness industry is a bodybuilding passion. Her past experiences with different dynamics like grace and elegance, athletic push and harsh hitting, and extreme dieting for the stage has given Wendy an edge. She is able to use this vast knowledge of diversity to better understand the psyche of a large variety of athletes, from the every day to the extreme.
Wendy holds the value of personal health and presence of mind very close to her heart. She herself is a three-time cancer survivor, overcoming what many thought to be impossible. She has a deep understanding of how healthy living positively affects the body.
Drew was born and raised in Mesa where he graduated from Skyline High School and was a dual sport athlete. From there he played college football at East Texas State University, graduating in 2009 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. After graduation, he played two years for the Indoor Football League and in 2013 received his license as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Pima Medical Institute. Drew worked for over 3 years as a PTA and Personal Trainer at the Fischer Institute right here in Phoenix gaining valuable knowledge in sports performance by helping with NFL and MLB off season strength and conditioning programs. He was also able to receive certification as a Nike golf performance specialist as well as numerous certifications in Functional Soft-Tissue Transformation.
