Where the Mind Goes… The Body Will Follow.

Losing weight can be hard, especially for those who are used to immediate results in life.  It is made that much harder if you don’t have the right mindset.
Instead, try putting this in your head:
Losing weight is achievable.  You CAN do it.  You WILL do it.
Lock that into your head if you are struggling.  Diets are unique in the fact that the ONLY obstacle is your brain.  Conquer your brain, and fat loss will follow.  The key ingredient in a diet, once caloric deficits have been set and your road map has been planned out, is following through.  There’s nothing heavy to lift.  There’s no exhausting sets to fight through.  The only reps that exist in a diet are the mental hurdles you must leap over.  However, sometimes those mental workouts are the hardest thing to get through.
The key thing to understand about a diet is that it is not one day.  It is a lifestyle, even if it is a temporary one for your specific goal, and in order to get through it, you must force your brain into a recurring positive mode.  Not for a day.  It must be perpetual.  Tell yourself that this is something you are going to do, remind yourself that it is a positive thing in your life, and something to be proud of.  Do not make it a battle— give in to the change.  Your body will follow and change will happen, but your mind must be committed to the act of change.
